Jeetje....alleen al door de looks gelijk verkocht. Wat een heerlijk tijdloos en strak design! Dus er zat niet anders op dan gelijk maar een proefritje in te plannen met de Major. Gelukkig reed deze net zo heerlijk als dat hij eruit zag en was de deal signed and sealed.
Nu zijn we gisteren teruggekomen van een lange vakantie Vogezen & Alpen, waar we de nodige beklimmetjes hebben meegepakt. Hij rijdt en oogt nog steeds als een pareltje. Keep up the good work!

Met de J.Guillem Major krijgt wel een frame met mooie details, die prima scoort op de meetbank én erg strak stuurt.
Na vele jaren maatwerk-staal/velgremmen ben ik nu dan officieel over op titanium/schijfremmen. Wat een verschil, wat een fiets. Ik ben zeer, zeer tevreden (en mijn fietsmaten jaloers).

The Major is a bike of which you think, why did I not buy it before. With a Torsion Stiffness of 121 it came out best of this test with 4 other brands.

Hi Jan & the team! I have had the pleasure of completing a custom build with the wonderful Guillem Major, after my old, beloved Bianchi Carbon Centaur 928 died this year! (cracks in frame). This is now my second custom build through my bike shop in Plymouth, Devon, England called Rockets & Rascals. Owner Steve & chief mechanic Chris both said that your products were very good and I wanted to have a titanium bike, so fortunately all the parts from my Bianchi were only 1 year old. It's largely C. potenza with Athena cranks, C scirocco 35s with a 12-29 Chorus cassette. I swap around with my Shamal ultras from time to time & she flies even more! I can't put into words how thrilled I am with the bike. I've heard people rave about the "ride" of titanium & they werent kidding. The craftsmanship & attention to detail astonishing- thank you so much!

The quality and attention to detail are first rate. I am running an 11 speed Campagnolo group set and they compliment each other very well.

Ordered the J.Guillem Major a couple of weeks ago, and it arrived yesterday; and I’ve got to say: it’s perfect. It’s also an incredibly beautiful bicycle.
I ordered the J.Guillem Major a couple of weeks ago, and it arrived yesterday; and I’ve got to say: it’s perfect. It’s also an incredibly beautiful bicycle: titanium is such a remarkable metal, and the fabrication of the frame by J.Guillem is simply faultless. Not to mention how it rides (a dream!)
Particularly impressive also was the order process: Jan-Willem mailed almost as soon as I’d ordered to talk over some particulars of the sizing – although my nominal frame size is 58cm, having a long torso I’d ordered a 60 cm frame to provide enough reach along the top tube – and with the 10 cm stem Jan-Willem recommended the reach to the bars is exactly what I wanted. And the fork steerer spacers he decided on give me a 12 cm drop to the bars - again, perfect!
Finally, as a wheel builder, I’m most impressed with the DT Swiss wheels - spoke tension on the critical dish side of the rear wheel shows less than a semitone of pitch/tension variance - I can trust these wheels!
I’m in love with this bicycle – I’m going out to ride it now!
I'd like to say that the bike is the best piece of engendering on the road, minimal design, but slick. Got me hooked!

After Sa Calobra, the second most popular climb in Majorca is the The Puig Major; from Soller up to Tunel de Monnaber. What makes it so tough is the length of the ascent - a full 14km from bottom to top. That said however, the gradient is steady at around 6% without ever it getting too steep.
The beginning of the climb is almost sea level, rising up the M10 after Soller, with a total at the tunnel at the top of just over 800 meters. Although there is another road rising after the tunnel, it is part of a military base and not accessible to everyday cyclists. If you fancy a break, or need to fill up your water bottles, a small detour from the main road at just about 4km from the start of the climb will take you to Fornalutx, a small village where you can get a good coffee.
Really top riders will manage to climb the Puig Major from Soller in under 40 minutes, but anything under an hour is considered a good result. But with plenty to look at from the saddle, just taking it easy and taking it all in is recommended, too.
